Some of us had a good time in Maalaea on Maui in November. Thank you all, who made the trip, we certainly were not disappointed. Every year we like to catch up with all our loved ones and friends by publishing a Holiday Newsletter. We hope that you will take the time to see what the Atherton/Tolhurst clan has been up to in 2017! TEAA & RGT
Wishing you a very happy holiday and all the very best in 2018!

Four Tolhurst boys, representing three generations proudly display Stage 2 of the Warm Springs Ranch Solar plan. The two 100 watt panels will ensure trailer batteries will be fully charged for each visit to the Ranch. These panels will eventually end up down at Sandy’s Beach where they will become a charging station for our batteries to power our many electric trolling boat engines.

Warm Springs Ranch got a recent update, when TEAA bumped into some cute solar lights at the local Home Depot store. Yes! as we modernize and embrace the 21st century we lined the WSR Boardwalk with solar lights.

We are very pleased with the addition and have already purchased more for future development.
Our little piece of heaven continues to bring peace and tranquility to all of our lives. We love the Ranch!

Once again fishing the May long weekend at Warm Springs Ranch proved to be hot! Here TEAA shows off her 25 inch, 6 to 7 lb rainbow trout caught with a black leech on a sinking flyline. This beautiful fish was quickly released to go out and produce more lunkers for us in the future.

Boats were stacked up on Sandy’s Beach waiting for the official start of the 2016 May Long Weekend fishing derby. Weather was not it’s best, including a light snowfall on the Saturday morning but that did not stop any of us from getting out on the water. And no one was disappointed….

Ace shows off his first rainbow trout. Caught and reeled in unassited. Whey to go Ace!

Diego, aka “the fish finder” sits with Ace enroute to the hotspot!
As usual it was not all fish and play @ the Ranch. The first stage of developing the Westside was completed by Silver Tip and crew, clearing the brush. The second stage will be to put in a road and a few camping/trailer sites.

This is the view of the Westside entrance from the house site.

We added this line of spruce trees to block the view of the Westside entrance from our future house.

Noah helps his Papa gather rocks for the house site drain ditch.

SEASON’s GREETINGS from TEAA and RGT! We hope that all is well with you and those around you. Please take time to read our 2015 Holiday Update! 2015 has been a typical year, lots of ups and downs, many highs and some lows! We think of each and everyone of you often and hope you enjoy catching up with us and our families. Here’s wishing you and your clan –
ALL the VERY BEST in 2016!
It has been a busy year back in the work world and getting to the Ranch this summer has not been as easy as we would like. So…when Tracy had a visit from her sister Dale and her husband, Ed, there was no way we weren’t going to share it’s beauty and tranquility.
For many, one night may not seem like enough, but at the Ranch, even an overnight stay is both calming and invigorating! Thank you so much, Dale and Eddy, for taking the time to share our small piece of heaven.
Fishing in 2015 at Warm Springs Ranch is off to a promising start and although I am not certain, Marina’s fish must be one of the largest rainbow trout ever caught in Ruth Lake! Congratulations! to Marina who hooked, landed and released this monster across from Ice Fish Rock on a “Doc Spratley” trolled on the surface.
