For the past six years, Warm Springs Ranch, located on Ruth Lake in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia has recognized it’s most successful fisherman on a yearly basis. The WSR Fisherman of the Year award is perhaps the most sought after trophy and each year, family members and friends fish hard with the hopes of earning it.

For 2016, Warm Springs Ranch has decided to introduce the WSR Junior Fisherman of the Year award. Warm Springs Ranch CEO, Tracy Atherton commented “We thought it was important to recognize the efforts of the many children who come to WSR and fish.” The 2016 wSR Fisherman of the Year award is Ace Erechar!

Ace has been coming to the Ranch for many years now and can always be found fishing off the dock @ Sandy’s Beach or in a boat out on the lake. This year he successfully hooked and landed, unassitted, his first rainbow trout. CONGRATULATIONS! Ace!
