The weather was hot, the water warm and the fishing was challenging the last two weeks of July at the Ranch! That did not stop Ace Erechar from pulling in a few fish at the WSR dock as well as out in the boat. For sure you are looking at a future WSR Fisherman of the Year! Over the week, many hours were spent out on the lake, trolling flies and lures, chronomid fishing, dryfly fishing with little reward! Great to get Rum and Ringo out in the boat and although the fishing was not hot, the company and time on the water was priceless!
In the end, only one fish over the full two weeks, but it was a nice fat one! Four pound rainbow on a trolling “Big Red” fly!
Next fishing trip will be mid October, a great time to strip in a leech around the lily pads out the front of the Ranch! Don’t miss it!
