WSR Hosts Memorial for “The Captain”

This past month, family members gathered at Warm Springs Ranch to pay tribute to the patriarch of the Tolhurst Clan, the “Captain” who passed away on February 12th of this year after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. It was typical mid July weather at the Ranch, hot temperatures, lot’s of blue skies and thundershowers! And what a thundershower we had just prior to our event! The skies darkened, the wind gusted and it poured for about 10 minutes – the “Captain” letting us know that it was time to “Get her done!”

Special thanks to all who attended, Matt G. from Boise, Idaho, Scott and Laura Atherton from Prince George, Ringo, Robert and Ace Erechar from Pullyaup, Washington, Caitlyn and Stefano Tolhurst from Kelowna and Rum, TEAA and RT!

Rum picked out a beautiful lilac tree which we planted at the start of the boardwalk in Pop’s memory and we finished up with a great steak dinner (the Captain’s favorite) and bevvies!

Each year we will watch Pop’s lilac tree grow and bloom! God Bless you Pop! I will always remember the twinkle and softness in your eyes! We miss you, love you and you will always be a part of our lives and the Ranch!
